Mama Jewell's ChildPlex
Role: Brand Identity Designer
Project Length: April - May 2026
For ChildPlex, a rural child care expansion initiative based in Yadkin County, NC, I developed the complete visual identity for a first-of-its-kind concept: a single, multi-unit building housing six independent small child care businesses under one roof.
The work began with logo design and a full set of brand guidelines, establishing a cohesive visual language that could speak to both families and economic development stakeholders alike. From that foundation, I extended the brand across a range of collateral — save the dates, informational one-pagers, business cards, stickers, and more — ensuring consistency and professionalism across every touchpoint.
A key consideration throughout was striking the right balance between warmth and credibility. The materials needed to feel approachable for prospective child care providers and parents, while also conveying the legitimacy and innovation of a project backed by organizations like SmartStart of Yadkin County and the Yadkin County Economic Development Partnership. The result was a cohesive brand system designed to support both community outreach and broader economic development goals.
